I had forwarded 2 of such mails to yahoo. In reply, I was asked for full header of the mail which I sent. But didn’t get to hear any update after that. Do we have a system wherein we can track the action taken by yahoo on such mails?

I hope this is the right stop. I am trying to ask about a recent email that I received. It said that Yahoo! was updating their accounts and any that did not respond by September 30 would be shut off. Is this true? Usually when I get an email from you it is highlighted in blue so I know it is yours. Actually I have gotten two so far. Neither one were highlighted. I do not want to lose my account it is the only one I have. Please let me know if this is valid or not. There are just too many scammers out there. The first email asked for more information that the second. Please email soon to let me know. Thank you for your help.

I received an email yesterday saying I won to Yahoo lottery, I know that there are a lot of scams going on right now. If you are going to look on the email it seems like it is true because they have the Yahoo logo so I decided to go to Yahoo website to search for how can I report this kind of scams going on. I too got same email which “Shorty-DiDi | May 13th, 2008 at 11:42 am ” received. If i have not come through this blog, i could have been into their trap. Yeah, someone in the above postings said it clearly that if Yahoo or MSN are launching this program, then there won’t be fake mail ids and also IMPORTANT POINT is UK phone numbers that start with +44 70xxxx are routing phone numbers. So, it clearly shows that the phone numbers given in their mails are using routing phone numbers to not to reveal their identity.

ALL, PLEASE BE AWARE OF SUCH e-MAILS. DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP. IF YAHOO/MSN IS CONDUCTING SUCH PROGRAMS, THEN THEY ARE RICH ENOUGH TO SEND US THE PRIZE/CHEQUES TO OUR DESTINATION LOCATIONS ACROSS THE WORLD.

I received the same e-mails from agbrown21@yahoo.com 12@yahoo.com This is absolutely an awful feeling that I believed such a crock of crap. Now I have identity protection and I am so distressed about these foney pranksters. Their world must be awful and miserable, and we know they are. I was smileing and now I’m not. Actually it has given me the sickest feeling. It just makes me feel like giving this computer a dump in the trash, and never reading e-mail again.
