Web portal! yahoo is one right?
Well yahoo you have so many products and you keep posting these product pulse update. Sometimes its overwhelming. I mean you could have just been a search provider, news site, entertainment or social networking portal.
Why a web portal which has everything for everybody? As a user, this is cool but i also thought if every yahoo employee worked on a single product, then yahoo would have one awesome product.
Then i thought, well then thats not being a web portal and also as a user i should realize i am part of something BIG and every time i participate at yahoo or spend time, i am being part of a world and if i am involved i can make it awesome for myself.

So as a user my expectations of product pulse updates are very high and in return i will give my time and attention.

P.S.
-imagine-
Today for some reason, when i was reading this product pulse update, i imagined a large group of people waking up on an island!

They opened their eyes, remembering nothing about their past and started checking out the surrounding, searched and explored while updating their knowledge, then they communicated, networked. Farmed resources, formed groups, entertained, learned new skills, and while doing all of this and many more, someone realized they were on a island!

Many will rubbish the above gibberish and i can leave with it, the rest go figure a ship……

“Internet! Everyone got on it for some to take it home.”
