Such as P&G, it is a successful sample to develop multiple brands all over the world. The reason for developing multiple brands is that the user needs a unique gate for certain service, not just using Yahoo. because different service needs different style, so it need a unique gate to enter other than all applications are used under one brand of Yahoo. another side is that it is difficult for user to use many applications under one Yahoo brand, user need to adjust his habit from one applications to another one. afterthat, by multiple brands, there is a competition among these applications, and then the best will be kept. at present, in my opinion, if Yahoo wants to go out the difficulties, one way is to develop multiple brands, not just Yahoo.
