How to Yahoo! in three minutes

There’s nothing like a pre-earnings quiet period to keep a corporate blogger on her toes. So I’ve scrounged around for some virtual hold music. And I found it in the form of a brilliant time lapse video that captures a day in the life at our headquarters, our local scenery, and the action around our Times Square billboard in NYC.

It was a little HD experiment created by Brad Williams, the production lead for Yahoo!’s Tech Ticker program. It’s his version of “Koyaanisqatsi” in three minutes.

Beats Muzak.

Do Yahoo employees pay for their lunch at work? And is Brad addicted to table soccer? :P

Comment jr | April 18th, 2008 at 10:23 am

yep, we pay. But it’s pretty cheap (full lunch runs about $5 max, usually way under that).

We also write a lot of code and attend meetings, but you know, that doesn’t make for great timelapse. ;)

Dang… JR beat me to the punch! And it’s generally required that all Yahoos be addicted to foosball. Stay tuned for Foosapalooza III in October!

Nicky!

C’est super! VERY COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! (Did I put enough o’s there to show how great that clip was?)

I LOVE Yahoo! I was born in France, and even when I was working and studying Law in the UK as an adult student for fun (and I have a family) I started to use Yahoo! since…1998! Have been 12 years in the USA and am preparing to relocate to France as I left it in 1984. Anyway…Yahoo! ? It rocks! I help MANY PEOPLE to have a free go to their dream and to help others ( for free too) to be more holistic with my website created by me via YAhoo! and hosted by Yahoo!

I am a fan…

Au revoir team!

Maybe Brad should be thinking about a career shift!

Heheheheh! It seems like an advert for a holiday destination. The bottom line is that employees seem to have a solid mix of fun and hard work, which usually makes for happy employees delivering awesome work. Keep it up, folks!
