I, too am frustrated with the “new & improved” Yahoo site. I can no longer get to Groups on the home page, I have to go to mail, then back to front page, then My Yahoo, then Quicklinks then Groups…..what has Yahoo done? What is really weird, is that I have tried to add Groups to “Favorites” then Im asked to sign in (Im already signed in) but will not let me add Groups.

I have tried clearing history, cookies,etc and Im still being directed to “m.www.Yahoo.com. When I first noticed this I contacted a Yahoo tech and the response was “this is only testing & by the middle of December the “m” will be removed. It is now January 1 and nothing has changed.

So now Im using Google as home page on IE. What a shame they have made such changes that many of us are very unhappy about.!

I hate it.
At first I thought it was a phishing attack.
Then I realized it was Yahoo design.
Thanks for inspiring confidence guys.
When I want to check my email it ALWAYS says “Error accessing your account” but then connects anyway. And the flyouts are just terrible. Did the guys who built MSNBC website help you out? Just give us back the old yahoo.This layout is intolerable.

This new Yahoo website stinks! It’s very user unfriendly. I also hate the pop-ups and have changed my Internet homepage because of this recent “upgrade”. Thanks for ignoring your users, Yahoo.

Do users’feedbacks mean anything to Yahoo anymore?
Why does Yahoo not giving the users options to choose whether to be in a test group or not?
I wonder if this make the news on TV would change this practice of making users be in test group without their conset.

why must there be a ‘m’ before yahoo.com? I don’t like it and it looks like we users would have some ’say so’ about these changes. Isn’t it enough that you have deleted our using the ‘classic Yahoo’.
Yahoo is getting as bad as the politicians who want to keep making changes……..for the worst.
Please reconsider so many changes, I sure would appreciate. Thank you.

I do not like your left side sideboard feature. Everytime I accidentally scroll over it up pops a category window, then I have to click the X to get out of and back to the homepage. It is very annoying! If I want a sideboard feature I would much rather click on it then have it pop up automatically when the mouse happens to scroll over it.

I hate the “New and Better Yahoo!” I want the old one back!!I loved the daily horoscopes and weather! Everything was so perfect!!! Why did it have to change? The old yahoo is not showing up. It is completely unreachable?

The old yahoo is familiar and I like familiar. It’s part of my daily routine, like having a cup of coffee -you know what to expect. The new Yahoo is like a box of chocolates- you never know what you’re going to get. There are other search engines out there waiting for the old Yahoo fans to come on board. Listen to the public, not your marketing directors. Less is more!

I hate the new Yahoo homepage, mainly because if you let the cursor rest anywhere on the left side of the page you get popups to the links listed there. I hate popups! I don’t care if you keep the design the same, or change it but please get rid of those annoying popups.

The new page is nothing short of a disaster….it feels like the late 1990’s when everyone saw the internet as nothing more than a huge market place…now Yahoo has fallen victim to appeasing advertisers and techies with a bombardment of ads and apps…..now the Yahoo page is a mess….clutter…,hard to read…..

I really hate this new front page. I was not given the option to try it, nor was I (or anybody else for that matter) informed there was going to be a change. That’s the not total reason for hating this new front page.

My computer won’t run it, or at least not run it well. You are using javascript applets to make the page work and the security risk as well as my machine grinding to a near halt because of it is NOT acceptable.

I want a page in basic HTML. Remember basic HTML? It runs on any browser, doesn’t slow said browser down, keeps everything simple and clean? Scripting has ruined the internet for a good many of us: hijacking our browsers to pages full of porn or adds for things we don’t want as well as making accessing any information a veritable disaster area.

Quite frankly I think you should have a basic HTML page for everyone, and then let whoever wants to op-in to your javascript nightmare the option of doing so.

Yeah thats what i just went through. Why does it take three links to find my email. The old homepage showed me what i wanted to see. EMAIL. Who cares about news when we’ve signed up for an EMAIL service. I dont care whats going on in the world when i cant even figure out how to email my fiance. I suggest this be changed instantly

With all the unfavorable comments on the New Yahoo I don’t understand why you are continuing with it. I want your “Yahoo Classic” back permanently! Today, November 9, 2010 the return to Yahoo Classic” option is nowhere to be found on my screen. Many users will move and your advertising money will eventually follow them!

Hate the new Yahoo. It is cumbersome and the constant pop ups are a waste of my time. I will guanantee I well never patronize any of the merchants. Yahoo mail is balking and the whole thing is poorly designed. Guess I have to change all my email contacts to gmail so I dont have to use this new design.

Disgusted with the auto pop ups.
You are interfering with my web browsing.
Every time I move my cursor to click on a news article I get pop up. It’s worse than spam.
I used to like Yahoo. Now I think it is junk.

Wow this new Homepage blows! Now I can’t get back to the old format even by clearing my cache. Sad, I used to use Yahoo for everything. Time to switch homepages and search engines because Yahoo just doesn’t seem to care what their users want

Not happy being part of the unannounced test group. Preferred the older layout. I don’t need pop-up windows everytime I roll over page-layout items my mouse across the stream.

Thanks for choosing us ‘testers’ and giving us no way back to the other version.

FYI- When I first say the new URL I thought it was something like a cross-script attack or perhaps a phishing site. These are other reasons you do just ‘test’ away without telling anyone.

Might be getting close to the time I dump Yahoo! and Yahoo! mail altogether. And this kind of move by Yahoo! may just hasten my departure.

This will be last post as I have moved on from yahoo. I just wanted to add the reason I feel that yahoo is making a bad move. The problem is not the change, but the execution of the change. As I looked around for a new homepage to replace the one (yahoo) I have used for ten years I did not see one that pops up huge adverts that cover all of the content without a click.
This new homepage is by far the worst on the net, but the new leadership is a well educated bunch and know full well that there will be only a small percentage of current users that will change even if it’s for thier own good. Studies show that when people have to opt in for thier own good they will not take the time to do it, if they have to opt out for thier own good they will not do it as well. We are let it ride, live and let live, or just lazy.
The Yahoo leadership is betting the farm on this and they figure with the fact that only a small percentage of current users will opt out, and the draw of new young users that are obsessed with twitter, facebook, and you tube will drive the usage of this sub standared product.
As for myself I don’t care to read about fluffy getting a flea dip today and find facebook and twitter for the most part boring. If I happen to find a page on facebook or tweet that I think is a good read to fallow I’ll just bookmark it in my browser. I want my homepage clutter free as possible and easy to find my morning news so I can enjoy my fresh ground coffee without any mouse over pop ups.
Anyway, all good luck finding a peaceful homepage and and buck the social norm and opt out if you don’t want this homepage.

Pulled the plug on the Yahoo homepage today, as they are pulling it on us 11 Nov. anyway. I just bookmarked the yahoo mail sign in page until I inform my contacts of my new e-mail address. It is a true shame to watch an Icon self destruct from lack of customer care and service. On the bright side maybe a customer centric company will pick up the ball and improve our internet life.
