Easy on the earth and the wallet: GiftZip gift cards. The cards can be bought at www.giftzip.com and require no trips to the store, no packaging, no wrapping, no shipping and, best of all, no time (they are instant). Apparently the plastic gift cards are really nasty to make and contribute 75 million pounds of carcinogenic material into the waste stream each year (off the GiftZip website). I'm hooked on them because they make giving so easy.
