Creativity. Innovation. Collaboration. These characteristics shape the way we work at Yahoo! everyday, so it’s only fitting that they inspired our recent birthday celebration. In honor of Yahoo!’s 15th Birthday, we commissioned three renowned artists to paint their interpretation of how Yahoo! has shaped the world for the past 15 years, and how it will continue to do so for the next 15 and beyond.
We worked with Collabo Arts to bring together Damon Soule, Mars-1, and David Choong Lee for the first time as a team. In just a week they brought their concept to life—putting the final touches on their painting during a live performance at Yahoo!’s 15th Birthday party in Sunnyvale.
While Yahoo! served as the inspiration for their painting, their abstract ideas and interpretations transformed a 4-panel, 7' x 16' canvas into a truly unique and inspiring work of art – “The Art of Yahoo!”
This painting is showcased on limited edition merchandise available in the Yahoo! Company Store in May.
You can hear more about their journey in this video: Painting Yahoo!. The art of collaboration.
