Yahoo! South East Asia has notched up another creative and successful consumer campaign under its belt, this time around Meme from Yahoo!.

Launched on 21 April in Indonesia and the Philippines, the Meme (or Mim in Indonesia) of the Week Challenge encourages Internet users to think outside the box and post their thoughts and ideas on particular topics using Meme from Yahoo!. The posts can be in any format including videos, music, photos or text. .

Every two weeks, a new topic will be announced in Indonesia and the Philippines. For example, in the Philippines, the first topic calls for Meme users to tell us who they would vote to be the Philippine president. The creators of the most popular, relevant and original posts aligned to each topic stand to win iPod nanos and coveted Yahoo! premiums every two weeks, and the grand prize of an Apple iPad.

Yahoo! users simply need to register for a Meme account and the Meme of the Week Challenge to get started.  By simply using the relevant competition topic #tags <#memeoftheweek_’topic’> or <#’topic’_mimmingguini>, participants can set about postinginteresting content that they want to share. The competition will run from April 21 to June 30, 2010.

Yahoos and agencies associated with this challenge aren’t eligible for the challenge, but do spread the word to your friends in Indonesia and the Philippines!

This is a really tangy challenge. Can even people who don’t sign up see the entries by users? South East Asia is a really cool place to present interesting products. Really nice and happy people.
