As you’re getting hooked on this season’s new shows, consider two award-winning products that make TV watching all the more fun, social and engaging:  Yahoo! Connected TV and IntoNow from Yahoo!.

Earlier this week, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced its take on the most innovative TV experiences out there, naming winners in the 63rd Primetime Emmy® Engineering Awards. Yahoo! Connected TV will receive the Engineering Emmy Plaque, in recognition for contributing to the shift in the television viewing paradigm, enabling the internet experience on TV to become a reality.

IntoNow, the popular iPhone/Android experience, was named among the 25 essential apps for your phone– with one touch of a button it automatically identifies what you’re watching and helps you connect with friends on Facebook and discover new shows.  Also this week, it was selected as a runner-up from 600+ companies in the prestigious Wall Street Journal Innovation Awards.

Curious about the most popular shows in terms of engagement on a mobile phone via IntoNow from Yahoo!?  Here’s the scoop on what people watched with phone in hand in September, based on IntoNow data:

  1. Terra Nova
  2. New Girl
  3. Person of Interest
  4. Alphas
  5. Up All Night

So, next time you snuggle up to catch the latest shows in this season’s line-up, take advantage of IntoNow and Yahoo! Connected TV so you can discover new and related content, and share the experience with your friends.  It’s a whole new way to enjoy TV.
