9 Things You Never Knew About Maria Sansone

Here's how the host of "THE 9" responded to random questions we threw her way:

1. FIRST JOB: I worked for WJET-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, as a kid sportscaster when I was 11. I didn't waste any time!!

2. FIRST CAR: In college I saved up all my money from my summer waitressing job and bought a 1982 red/orange BMW. It was a stick shift, and I had no idea how to even get the car home. I loved that car so much that I gave it to my best friend when I moved to New York City because I wanted it to have a good home!!

3. FAVORITE HAMBURGER TOPPING: American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, and ketchup.

4. PC OR MAC?: PC

5. DESCRIBE A SCAR AND HOW YOU GOT IT: Right-hand knuckle. A few months ago, I was doing the dishes and broke a glass as I was washing it. When it was bandaged up, I made up crazy stories as to how I got it because washing the dishes seemed so uneventful! But it got me out of doing that job for a while!

6. MOST PRIZED POSSESSION: My grandma's engagement ring. I never take it off.

7. WORST HABIT: Cracking my gum. It annoys the heck out of people.

8. FAVORITE NICKNAME: "Shorty."

9. FAVORITE ICE CREAM: It's a tie between chocolate and mint chocolate chip. I don't even bother with any others.
